Dr. Brett Z. Kahn is a native of Trenton, Michigan. Dr. Brett received his undergraduate degree from Michigan State University in the field of Kinesiology and went on to receive his Doctorate from Life University in Marietta, Georgia. His first experience with chiropractic, after sustaining a football injury as an adolescent, helped him realize the importance of acute care. As a dual collegiate athlete, Dr. Brett saw the health and performance benefits of regular chiropractic care.
At Michigan State University he obtained Academic honors and Dean’s List status while training, practicing and playing on the Spartan Football team. The knowledge and expertise of Division I trainers, coaches and staff added several layers of combined knowledge to Dr. Brett’s education. This experience strengthened his desire to assist all levels of athletes in overcoming sport-related injuries.
Understanding the importance of integrating natural healthcare into mainstream medicine, Dr. Brett works closely with medical doctors when referrals and/or co-management is appropriate. He focuses on the underlying cause of the patient’s ailment to facilitate better health and overall wellness. Accompanying his interest in the human body is a passion to assist patients to reach their full potential. Dr. Brett utilizes a wide range of techniques that are gentle and low-impact. He is proficient in many techniques such as, Diversified, CBP (chiropractic biomechanics of posture), Extremity Manipulation, Applied Kinesiology, SOT, Thompson, Activator, Gonstead and Flexion Distraction, to name a few. His specialties include sports injuries, automobile accidents, kinesiology taping and postural rehabilitation.
Dr. Brett researched several states before making the decision to relocate to the Charleston area and become a contributing Doctor to the residents of Mt. Pleasant. Before joining Neurologic Health, he was an integral part of Discover Chiropractic in Cumming, Georgia. Dr. Brett is a licensed Doctor of Chiropractic in South Carolina. He is certified in Radiography, Physiotherapy, X-ray Supervision and Operation.
In his spare time, Dr. Brett enjoys playing golf, staying fit, traveling, boating and volunteering his time with local charities.
