We do not offer traditonal, “cookie cutter” care.
Instead, our focus is individualized, holistic, natural care- that addresses the root of your health concern. We achieve this by taking the proven-effective physical medicine of chiropractic care and coupling it with the most cutting-edge knowledge in neurology, immunology, endocrinology and clinical nutrition.
NeuroLogic Integrated Health considers, but doesn’t rely on the medical opinions of others to guide treatment. Instead, we start from the beginning, working with patients to get a good picture of their past, present, and future health before embarking on the road to lasting well-being.
Essentially, we bring together ALL aspects of a person’s health to determine the best way to get results in the shortest amount of time.
If you have a “complicated case” and are questioning whether we can help you, we encourage you to speak with Dr. Matt. He welcomes complicated cases.
If you’re looking for a quick fix or a superficial diagnosis, please look elsewhere. We’re committed to treating causes, not just symptoms. We feel that personal attention plus thorough diagnosis can lead to the most effective treatment plan possible.
We are more successful in diagnosing and treating disease because…
We practice functional neurology.
Most people understand that the brain controls everything that we do. However, most people have no idea how much the word “everything” includes. Your brain controls and coordinates everything from your personality, behavior, temper, self-image, perception, movement, heart rate, immune function, digestion, intelligence, coordination, posture, pain sensation, breathing… EVERYTHING! By looking closely at the brain and nervous system, understanding how it works and it looks when it stops working well, we can find the cause of most health issues and address them at the cause. The goal of a functional neurologist is to identify areas of decreased performance in the brain and nervous system, and to create a plan to make it perform optimally. You can read more about functional neurology by clicking on the “functional neurology” sub-menu tab in the navigation bar.
We are patient-centered and very thorough.
We perform a thorough evaluation of the person’s condition. Most doctors perform a short evaluation of the patient and the area of complaint. Most doctors spend no more than 5-10 minutes with a patient before making a diagnosis and treatment recommendation. NeuroLogic Integrated Health is different. It takes roughly 1.5 to 2 hours — start to finish — for our new patient exam. Once you’re a patient, your visits will last anywhere from 15 minutes to 1 hour depending on your individual treatment plan and issues we are working on solving.
We look at functional blood chemistry analysis.
Most doctors look at the laboratory ranges and prescribe prescriptions base on those ranges. Different labs have different ranges. You can submit the same blood sample to two different labs in the same city, but depending on the patient population that they see, their reference ranges may be different. This means that you might have cholesterol outside of the lab ranges if you go to a clinic that sees relatively healthy people. If you go to a clinic that sees mostly sick patients, your cholesterol might be inside the “healthy” reference range. You can see how this might make a once normal condition now seem abnormal (or vice versa)… just by changing some numbers. We look at your blood results in such a way to discover patterns of dysfunction and treat them before they become a serious problem.
We believe and practice sound nutritional protocols.
Nutritional products prescribed in our office are high quality professional agents that are: developed in a pharmaceutical licensed lab and dosed at a therapeutic range to increase the function in the body. Nutritional products at stores may be questionable in regards to quality and manufacturing, and the patient may not understand how the nutritional products should affect their bodies. Patients may not understand how to use nutrition and diet to change their current condition. They need someone who can find the underlying nutritional needs rather than “self-treating” based on what they hear in the media. Specific conditions require specific solutions. We integrate salivary testing in our treatment plans. Our office understands how to integrate salivary testing (which is the testing of hormones, cortisol, etc.) with a person’s healthcare to give measuring tools on progress that the person has made.
We look at immune panels to understand many chronic diseases.
We understand the affects of the immune system and the rest of the body. Such conditions may appear as autoimmune disorders (attacking different aspects of a person’s health) or an immune shift or imbalance within the immune system itself. We also work with other healthcare providers to meet the goals of the patient when necessary.
